PRISMS Deploys In 5 Health Facilities In South Western Uganda.
PRISMS’ goal is to empower all frontline health workers like midwives, nurses, birth attendants etc in Uganda to effectively manage the sick newborns. We wish to applaud Baylor Children’s Foundation Uganda for supporting our initiative to empower frontline health workers involved in newborn care and save newborn lives. We can not be more thankful for this partnership.
This partnership will see PRISMS deployed in 5 health facilities in South Western Uganda. The PRISMS team is currently training health workers in Ntara Health Center IV Rwamwanja HC III, , Kibiito HC IV , Fortal Regional Referral Hospital and Rukunyu HC IV in Helping Babies Breathe (HBB), Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB), Essential Care for Small Babies (ECSB) and the use of PRISMS technology. All these activities are funded by Baylor Childrens Foundation.
In the move to reduce neonatal mortality, we encourage more and more facilities to adapt PRISMS. In order to learn more about the strengths of PRISMS, watch this video from our first deployment in Bwizibwera Health Center IV
